Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Ollie. By using Ollie, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Ollie.

Eligibility

Ollie is intended only for adults who are 18 years of age or older. Do not use Ollie if you are under 18 or if you are not legally able to agree to these terms.

What Ollie is

Ollie is an AI-powered companion app for everyday conversation, reflection, and optional voice, text, and photo-supported interactions. Ollie is provided for general informational and personal use only.

Appropriate use

You agree to use Ollie lawfully and responsibly. You may not use Ollie to create, request, upload, or share content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, harassing, hateful, sexually exploitative, discriminatory, threatening, deceptive, invasive of privacy, infringing, or otherwise unsafe.

You may not attempt to misuse, disrupt, reverse engineer, overload, scrape, probe, bypass safety controls, or gain unauthorized access to Ollie or any related systems. You may not use Ollie to develop competing services, train models without permission, or automate high-volume requests.

No emergency or professional service

Ollie is not an emergency service, crisis hotline, therapist, medical device, doctor, lawyer, financial advisor, or other professional service. Ollie does not provide medical, mental health, legal, financial, or other professional advice.

If you may harm yourself or others, feel unsafe, need urgent help, or have a medical emergency, call local emergency services or contact a qualified professional immediately. Do not rely on Ollie for urgent or high-risk decisions.

AI responses

Ollie uses artificial intelligence, and responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, offensive, or unsuitable for your circumstances. You are responsible for evaluating responses and for any decisions or actions you take based on them.

Ollie may not always understand context, tone, images, voice input, or personal circumstances correctly. You should independently verify important information.

Your content

You are responsible for messages, voice input, photos, and other content you provide to Ollie. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to provide that content.

You keep your rights in your content. You grant Ollie a limited permission to process your content as needed to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the app, handle support requests, and comply with law. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

Privacy and permissions

Ollie may request access to the microphone, camera, or photo library only for features you choose to use. You can manage these permissions in iOS Settings. Do not provide sensitive information unless you are comfortable with it being processed to provide the app.

Subscriptions and purchases

If Ollie offers paid features, subscriptions, trials, or in-app purchases, the price, billing period, included features, and renewal terms will be shown before purchase. Purchases made through the App Store are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's payment, subscription, cancellation, and refund rules.

You can manage or cancel App Store subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings. Except where required by law or Apple's policies, fees may be non-refundable.

Availability and changes

Ollie may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee that Ollie will be uninterrupted, error-free, available in every location, or compatible with every device or operating system version.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Ollie if we believe you have violated these terms, created risk, misused the app, or if continued access would expose users, Ollie, or others to harm or legal risk.

Intellectual property

Ollie, including its name, design, software, artwork, and other materials, is owned by Ollie or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you ownership of Ollie or its materials.

Disclaimers

Ollie is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or availability.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ollie and its owners, operators, service providers, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from or related to your use of Ollie.

Legal compliance

You are responsible for complying with laws that apply to your use of Ollie, including laws about privacy, intellectual property, recording, communications, and content.

Apple

If you download Ollie from the App Store, Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for Ollie or its content. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms for App Store distribution purposes and may enforce these terms as permitted by law.

Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of Ollie after changes means you accept the updated terms.
